At Wesleyan Nazarene Church, we hold to the historic truths shared by the universal Church, like those found in the Nicene and Apostle’s Creeds. Our theology is Wesleyan-Arminian, which informs us of our responsibility to God, and our need for his holiness to experientially become ours.
We believe that reconciliation to God happens through grace by faith—when someone truly believes, their life is changed, moving from the kingdom of sin to the kingdom of God. Though every person is born with a sinful nature, God can cleanse the heart completely from all sin. From that point, Christians are called to grow in holiness, living a life that reflects God’s love and purity until Jesus returns.
We love all people, no matter their background, and our love moves us to pray for everyone’s salvation, and in compassion to share with others that choosing to stay in sin separates us from God forever. As followers of Christ, we join God’s work by sharing His call to repentance and inviting all to serve the living God, who will one day judge everyone.
